HOW MUCH IS YOUR WEDDING PLANNING FEE
Comprehensive and unlimited wedding planning, styling & coordination package costs 3 500 EUR for a one-day event. This means we work together from the beginning of the planning until the last guest leaves the event.
In case of multi-day wedding, an additional day costs 750 EUR / day. The Master of Ceremony is highly suggested at each wedding regardless of the number of guests you are planning to invite. A professional MC costs an additional 1000-1200 EUR.
HOW MUCH ROUGHLY IS A WEDDING IN BUDAPEST / HUNGARY
This is the most frequent question of our brides and grooms; however, it is not straightforward to answer this as it highly depends on the personal preferences and requirements. Most of the weddings that you can see on our website, Facebook, or Instagram sites are between 20.000 – 40.000 EUR. We have planned multi-day, multi-venue Indian weddings reaching 150.000 EUR (and even higher) because of the unique locations, selected suppliers, design, high guest count, and covering the accommodation of your guests. When you plan a wedding, please think about the budget you wish to minimum spend on your most beautiful day(s) as this makes the whole process much easier.
Even though you do not know the average prices of wedding costs in Hungary, you should still have a reasonable, available minimum figure in your head before contacting your wedding planner. Not because the planner will spend all your money but can see what level of wedding she can make out of your budget. Please also be realistic. Weddings are not cheap, and we cannot do magic from 5.000 – 10.000 EUR in case you have one hundred guests. We can tell that on average, our couples spend more than what they originally wanted to spend but still cheaper than in most Western European countries, seaside resorts, or in the US.
WHY SHALL WE HIRE YOU WHEN WE CAN FIND CHEAPER PLANNERS
True, we are not the cheapest on the market, however, we like to think that we plan weddings differently than most of our colleagues. First of all, we are a team of five, making sure we are always available whenever you need us. Wedding planning is our passion and our full-time job, continually learning from the newest wedding trends, and traveling around the world to bring you the latest ideas in gastronomy, service, or entertainment.

HOW TO FIND THE BEST WEDDING PLANNER
We understand that there is so much information on social media sites; therefore, it is tough to pick the right planner. First check if she really has the know how, and understands your needs, has eyes on details, and most importantly has organized weddings and not just helped at her best friends’ weddings. Ask how many multicultural or international weddings she has planned, how she works, how many people she works with on the actual day. Don’t forget wedding planning is not a one-man show!
The really good planners work in a team and have seen a couple of things go wrong, and are prepared for worst-case scenarios too. Yes, we are humans, and we can all make mistakes. Still, the most important is how we handle them, and how quickly we can resolve the situation or suggest alternatives, without causing any inconvenience to the event or the guests. Also, try to find a planner who is professional and whose full-time job is wedding planning! They will always have time for you whenever you want.
IF I HAVE THE FEELING YOU ARE THE ONE HOW MUCH IN ADVANCE SHALL WE BOOK YOU
The earlier you book us the most we can get out of the wedding planning. Don’t forget that you have the possibility of choosing from more venue options and suppliers. Usually Western type of weddings are planned 10-12 months ahead while couples coming from the Middle East, India or even further from China leave us 3-6 months for the planning. This is fine for us as we are truly the only agency in Hungary who has managed to rearrange an entire 3-day wedding celebration from Istanbul to Budapest in only four days in total.
However, we do not encourage you to contact us two weeks before the ideal day as you will have limited options, even if you are the most easy-going and flexible couple on Earth. In case you have a preferred date, then please book us as early as you can since popular dates at popular venues can be sold quickly but not two years in advance. One year before, the ideal day is more than enough. If you are looking to get married in 2021, it is enough to check back on us during the summertime of 2020.

HOW CAN WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
After we receive your email we will be in touch with you within 24 hours. To start with, we need to have a call or a personal meeting in our office (Millennium Center, H- 1054, Budapest, Vaci street 19-21, 1st floor) to understand your needs and for you to find out if we are the ones you are looking for.
If it is a YES, then a wedding agreement needs to be signed, and 50% of the wedding planning costs need to be paid as a deposit. The deposit is nonrefundable, we book you in and take your booking seriously.
WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT SCHEDULE?
Our wedding planning deposit is due at the signing of our agreement, which is 50%. We will then start to work on your wedding and create the budget as we are selecting the suppliers together with you. Once the suppliers have been chosen, then we need to secure their date, and an additional 30-50% deposit for their services will be required, but these amounts occur when the decision is made. The remainder amount of the total wedding is due 10 days before the wedding.
Budapest Wedding is a one-stop-shop wedding planning agency which means that the total cost of the wedding should arrive to our account which will be transferred to the chosen supplier immediately but before the wedding. You can either do a bank transfer (transaction fees may apply which needs to be covered by the couple) or cash payment in our office where all major currencies are accepted. When the wedding is held on the countryside, travel cost, accommodation and food for the team is to be provided by the couple.
HOW DO YOU WORK DURING THE PLANNING PHASE?
Our office in Budapest is located right in the city center in Vaci street, and we take personal meetings by appointments only. Once we sign the contract, we are readily available five days a week and sometimes even during the weekend when couples only have time to meet us or have a phone call during the weekend. We also understand that in some countries, WhatsApp works faster than any other communication channel, so we are open to using it outside the regular opening hours if there is something really urgent. After we sign the contract, we create a dropbox folder where we can exchange ideas, and you can see the offers of the suppliers, checklist, and to-do lists in a timely manner.
Compared to our fellow wedding planner colleagues, we have worked out well-defined terms and conditions, but this is only to ensure a stress-free, well designed, and beautiful outcome. However, we follow your guidelines and want to see how you envision your big day, but we will not let the wedding planning fool you.
On the wedding day, we guarantee that at least two planners are present on-site from the beginning of the event until the last guest leaves, regardless of the number of guests you will have.
HOW MANY WEDDINGS DO YOU DO A YEAR?
It depends on what kind of weddings we are handling. From smaller weddings (up to 100 guests) we can do more, but those weddings which have a higher budget, more guests, multi-days, multi venues we can obviously do less. Typically we organize 15 maximum 20 throughout a year to guarantee everybody the attention they deserve.
We also try not to do two weddings parallel but it sometimes happens which does not mean you do not get the right focus from us. This is why we are a team of 5.
WHAT TIME DO YOU USUALLY JOIN IN ON THE WEDDING DAY?
We’ll be there with your from at least 30 minutes before – you, the bride – starts getting ready or when the set up of the venue is about to begin.
One of us is usually around where the bride and the groom are getting ready while the other team member is there to make sure suppliers arrive on time at the venue.
WHAT OTHER EXPENSES CAN WE EXPECT?
We believe in fair, transparent pricing, so what you see above is all you can expect, no hidden surprise expenses here. But if the wedding takes place in the countryside, then accommodation and meals for the planners must be provided. In case there is a multi-day event, then accommodation and meals for the planners must be provided one day before the celebration weekend kicks off until the end.
At countryside weddings for those suppliers who are working more than 8 hours on the wedding day, one-night accommodation and a full dinner must be provided with some afternoon snacks.
