How much is your wedding planning fee?
For the fee we usually work together between 6-12 months from the beginning of the planning until the last guest leaves. In case of multi-day wedding the price of the additional days will be based on the scope of work.
Our wedding planning fee starts from 8 000 EUR for a one-day event, which is approximately 10% of the total wedding budget. The final fee depends on the number of guests, and the number of venues.

How much is a wedding in Budapest?
This is the most frequent question of our brides and grooms. Most of the weddings that you can see on our website, Facebook, or Instagram sites cost between 50 – 100K EUR, depending on the number of guests and the venues. These costs encompass various elements such as venue rental, catering, decoration, entertainment, and photography. Each wedding is unique, and the final cost reflects the specific choices and preferences of the couple. Two or three-day destination weddings typically range between 150-250K EUR. These extended celebrations often feature multiple events such as welcome dinners,
excursions, and farewell brunches, as well as high-end services to create an unforgettable experience for the couple and their guests. When you plan a wedding, please think about the budget you are ready to spend comfortably. It is crucial to have a clear understanding of your financial limits and priorities. Discussing your budget early in the planning process helps your wedding planner provide you with options that align with your vision without causing financial strain. This proactive approach ensures that you can enjoy your special day without worrying about unexpected expenses.

How to find the best wedding planner?
With so much information available on social media, it can be challenging to choose the right wedding planner. To make an informed decision, ensure the planner has real know-how and understands your needs. They should have a keen eye for detail and, most importantly, a solid track record of organizing weddings—not just helping at friends’ weddings. Additionally, ask about their experience with multicultural or international weddings, as understanding diverse traditions and preferences is crucial for creating a wedding that truly reflects your unique love story.
Wedding planning is not a one-person show, so look for a planner who works with a team and is prepared for any scenario. The best planners have experience handling unexpected issues and are ready with quick, effective solutions. It’s also essential to find a planner who is a professional and whose full-time job is wedding planning. This ensures they will be dedicated to your event and always available when you need them. By focusing on these factors, you can find a wedding planner who will make your special day unforgettable and stress-free.

How much in advance shall I book you?
The earlier you book us the most we can get out of the wedding planning. Don’t forget that you have the possibility of choosing from more venue options and suppliers. Usually Western type of weddings are planned 3-12 months ahead while couples coming from the Middle East, India or even further from China leave us 1-6 months for the planning. This is fine for us as we are truly the only agency in Hungary who has managed to rearrange an entire 3-day wedding celebration from Istanbul to Budapest in just four days in total.
However, we do not encourage you to contact us two weeks before the ideal day as you will have limited options, even if you are the most easy-going and flexible couple on Earth. In case you have a preferred date, then please book us as early as you can since popular dates at popular venues can be sold quickly but not two years in advance. One year before, the ideal day is more than enough. If you are looking to get married in 2025, it is enough to check back on us during the summertime of 2024.

How can we book you?
After we receive your email, we will be in touch with you within 24 hours with a presentation and venue suggestions. Once you reviewed we will have a call or a personal meeting to understand your requirements and for you to determine if we are the right fit. This initial consultation allows us to get to know each other, discuss your vision, and outline how we can bring your dream wedding to life.
Following the meeting we will provide a detailed wedding budget outlining our services and a customized plan tailored to your requirements. Upon your approval, we will proceed with signing a contract and the deposit payment to secure our services for your date. From that point on, we will work closely with you, offering continuous support and guidance to ensure every detail is meticulously planned, making your special day truly unforgettable.

What is your payment schedule?
At Budapest Wedding, we aim to make the payment process as straightforward as possible. To start, we will prepare an expected budget before signing the wedding contract, which will serve as the foundation for our planning. Once you accept the budget and sign the contract, a 50% deposit of the planning fee and a 30% of the total expected wedding costs will be required to book your date in the suppliers calendar. All these should be transferred to our account.
The remaining balance of the total wedding costs are due 14 days before the wedding. Payments can be made via bank transfer or partially in cash at our office, where we accept all major currencies.

How do you work during the planning?
Once we sign the contract, we are readily available five days a week, and sometimes even on weekends if that’s the only time you can meet or have a call. We understand that WhatsApp is a preferred communication tool in many countries, so we’re open to using it outside regular hours for urgent matters. After signing the contract, we create a shared Dropbox folder to facilitate idea exchange and provide access to supplier offers, checklists, and to-do lists in an organized manner. We have established clear terms and conditions to ensure a smooth, stress-free planning process and a beautifully executed wedding.
While we follow your vision and guidelines closely, we also bring our expertise to ensure everything runs flawlessly.
On the wedding day, we guarantee that at least three planners and coordinators will be on-site from the beginning of the event until the last guest leaves, regardless of the number of guests. This ensures that every detail is managed, and you can enjoy your special day without worry.
09.
What time do you join on the wedding?
We’ll be there with you from at least 30 minutes before – you, the bride – starts getting ready, while an other team member will be at the venue coordinating the suppliers and arranging the set up. A third colleage will be at the hotel to manage the guest movement and transportation.
We try not to do two weddings at the same time but rarely it happens which does not mean you won't get full attention from us. We are a team of five planners ready to assist your requirements.

How many weddings do you do a year?
The number of weddings we handle each year varies based on their size and complexity. For smaller weddings with up to 100 guests, we can manage a higher volume. However, for larger, multi-day, multi-venue weddings with higher budgets and more guests, we take on fewer to ensure each event receives the full attention it deserves. Typically, we organize 10-12 weddings annually.
On your special day, our team is strategically divided to provide seamless coordination. One of us will be with you, the bride and groom, ensuring everything runs smoothly as you get ready, while another team member oversees the timely arrival and setup of suppliers at the venue. This approach ensures every detail is meticulously managed, allowing you to enjoy your day stress-free.

What other expenses can we expect?
We provide staff meals for colleagues who work late-night shifts or more than eight hours, ensuring our team is well taken care of. We believe in fair, transparent pricing, so what you see above is all you can expect—no hidden surprise expenses here.
