Cat and Golide

March 13, 2019

This ChIndian – which is Chinese Indian – wedding was undoubtably one of our most colourful, funnies and cheerful wedding in the season of 2018.

Catharina the always graceful bride and her charming Goldie’s (originally christened as Alex) 4 and a half day but 6 function celebration kicked off with a bar hopping on day one followed by winery visit the next day where wedding guests could get to know each other a little more. The formal wedding weekend started with a very intimate family rehearsal dinner in the famous but oldest traditional Hungarian restaurant Gundel, followed by a roast and toast, champagne and cake party up in the Unesco World Heritage Site at the Savoy Terrace. However the rain sort of washed away the speeches half way, nobody cared about it and enjoyed the official day one to the fullest. While some of the guests were beautifully dressed in Indian costumes and saris some “just” put their tuxes on, that perfectly matched to the royal venue.

Thanks to the wedding planner, Dora, the bridal prep on the next day was exactly in the same suite and in the same hotel, DA Hotels, formerly called the Boscolo Hotel New York Palace where Cat and Goldie decided to choose Budapest as their wedding destination. What a coincidence! The guys got ready quickly and had some lunch up in the Buda Castle before they all headed to the Matthias Church for the church wedding while the standing reception continued at the terrace of the Fishermans Bastion Restaurant with some more wine and prosecco.

The never seen and unforgettable party was provided by a UK based DJ, James who stole the show with his unique entertainment; singing, dancing, acting till everyone dropped at the Corinthia Hotel.

Next day we finished the weekend with a well-tried boat cruise with some brunch where guests could have a final taste of Budapest. Wasn’t it a magnificent wedding weekend? Oh hell yeah, it was truly amazing! Thank you dear Cat and Goldie, it was remarkable!
